Blackjack Casino Game

Blackjack (also known as 21) has overtaken craps to become the most popular casino table game. After the publication of Beat the Dealer, Edward Thorpe's famous book on card counting, the popularity of Blackjack took off. Card counting has forced casinos to make changes to the game to prevent losses. Most casinos now play with a six to eight deck shoe. Those casinos that still play with a single deck have lowered the payout on a Blackjack to compensate. Casinos also watch for players who frequently change the amount of their bets, or vary their bet amounts greatly.
